The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors hosted the CalTrans management and design teams for the Ferguson Project on Highway 140. Those attending were treated to a review of and the latest planning for that project.

We were told that the project would be done in two major phases:
1) A rock removal period to be completed in 2015;
2) A construction phase, 2017-2019.

We were assured that the traffic delays during both of these phases might be less that we experience now because they would be using pilot cars to escort traffic where now there are stop light with delays between each change of signals.
