3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS, SAME BEAR!
There is a bear that is living outside the Park, in the Merced Canyon in the vicinity of the Ferguson Rockslide which we have seen three days in a row. He (it’s probably a male) forages along the river in the late afternoon or early morning. He’s quite shy, and try as we might to remain quiet and out of sight, he notices us and shies away from us and retreats to the opposite side of the river. In the following two pictures, one can see he’s just exited the water, having crossed the river, and has begun to ascend the opposite side of the canyon where he typically disappears in the vegetation there.
